Yankee Flipper for tehWin!
As from previous posts you might have deduced that m||3 and I like our birds and therefore our birdfeeders. Anyone else who shares an interest in the same would know that there is a tacit war between feeding your birds and accommodating the freeloading mammals known as squirrels.
Long before I was even interested in birdfeeders, I remember a Discovery channel special that illustrated just how smart squirrels were at being able to negotiate just about any obstacle course in the pursuit of food. (Note: I would love to see this again, so if anyone knows what I’m talking about, please post a comment).
Anyway, m||3 and I registered for the Yankee Flipper birdfeeder as a wedding present and Benthic & Co. were generous enough to provide it for us. We’ve had it up for months and haven’t seen it in action. The other morning over coffee we were delighted to find that some new squirrel fell into our trap enough times for me to pull out the video camera to document our victory over the mooching rodents.
